About the Project
In Spring 2024, nine young adults (aged 18-27) from Alberta and Ontario came together in a Digital Storytelling (DST) workshop to create short films exploring their experiences with cannabis.
Each story highlights a meaningful moment in their journey with cannabis, concluding with practical harm reduction pri nciples.
The stories developed in this workshop are designed to engage peers, educators, and youth allies across Canada by highlighting the diverse contexts and experiences of youth who use cannabis.
Focusing on lived experiences, this project shifts away from a top-down education model to one where young people share their own stories and knowledge about cannabis with their peers.
This project was a partnership between Dr. Rebecca Saah and Dr. Mike Lang from the University of Calgary,
with facilitation from Mike Lang Stories and Krystle Schofield Stories
